Forcefield Paint Shield is based in Lewisville, Texas. Kevin Williams is a lifelong resident of Denton County. He literally grew up working in collision repair with his parents, Kay & Tressa Williams at Kay’s Paint & Body Shop, which has been a fixture in the Denton collision repair business since the 1950s! Kevin managed the shop for several years gaining extensive experience in all areas of paint and body work. He is a DuPont Certified Auto Refinisher and has “hands on experience” in all aspects of automotive paint.
Kevin began his career installing Paint Protection Film in 2006 by completing the Basic Installation Training Course at XPEL’s training facility in San Antonio, TX receiving his certification as a:
He later completed their Advanced Level Training Course and receives continued training at XPEL during their annual conferences. He has chosen to focus almost exclusively on Paint Protection Film installation since he left collision repair in 2006.
Kevin’s wife, Nannette assists him on the customer service side of the business and serves as Office Manager. Together they operate Forcefield Paint Shield from their Lewisville office.
The most important choice you make the decision to install PPF on your vehicle is the choice of Installer. You can probably find several to choose from, but just as in other industries, we are not all the same, we do not all offer the same product, nor the same quality of install.
Newer companies often rely on low-cost, inferior films, poorly-designed kit patterns and lower pricing to obtain price-sensitive customers. Their job may cost you a little less up front, but installation quality will be lower and durability will suffer. Forcefield Paint Shield will provide a superior installation that will protect your paint and for years to come.
Kevin has attended basic and advanced factory training. After 25+ years in all facets of collision repair, he turned his penchant for quality work to installing paint protection film in 2006 and has focused solely on that since.
Unfortunately, we have seen many really poor quality installs done by people who probably thought they were completely capable of installing the film themselves. Some of these folks are just “Do-It-Yourselfers” but many pass themselves off as installers. Either way, poor quality film and poor quality installs gives the general public a terrible idea of how PPF is “supposed to look”. If you can actually SEE there is film on the car from about one foot away, there is something wrong. You may notice a line across the hood and fenders where a partial kit stops, but you should not see the film itself.
At Forcefield Paint Shield, we use a plotter at our location to cut computer-designed kits specifically for your car year, make and model for the best possible fit. This means the kit will be symmetrical and will accurately fit your car.
We do not hand-cut a bulk sheet of film on your car with a razor blade as some installers do. Be advised there is a real chance they will cut through your paint – no matter how good they claim to be!
We offer a written ten year warranty against cracking, peeling, yellowing, delaminating, etc. XPEL stands behind their film and Kevin stands behind his install. Plus you have Kevin’s own reputation for customer service backing it up! (See our Testimonials Page.)
We have access to a tremendous selection of kits providing a variety of choices for mini, standard, extended and full coverage options.
We have seen many instances where a previous installer has taken the shortcut of applying several small pieces of film to the bumper (because it’s easier), rather than using a single large piece. This process leaves many seams across the bumper.
We greatly prefer to do installs at our Denton, TX location where we feel we get a better quality and cleaner install. Here we can control the lighting, temperature, air quality, etc. In an outdoor or open garage situation, anything floating in the air will end up stuck to the adhesive on the back of the film. This can include pet fur, pollen, dust, etc.
However, for your convenience, we do offer a mobile service. *Location must meet certain criteria.* Be advised that a travel fee may be charged, depending upon distance.
For our customers’ convenience, we offer appointments 7 days a week. Also, vehicles can be dropped off and picked up during the evening hours.
We don’t sell tires or rims or car stereos or even tint windows. We install Paint Protection Film. That’s all we do, so we HAVE to be good!
